The Gallery
Mission:
Soo Visual Arts Center is a non-profit arts organization committed to exhibiting the work of exceptional artists and to creating opportunities that foster the understanding and creation of art. SooVAC cultivates an open and inviting environment that facilitates the interaction of art, individuals and communities.
Founded by visual artist Suzy Greenberg, the non-profit gallery space and studio is based in the founder's relationship with art—one that views the artistic as vital to personal and community health and vision. SooVAC is a place where community can be built, a place where artists and viewers challenge each other to learn, create, and question. Perhaps most notably, SooVAC is a place where accessibility of the arts has been considered from the start.
Gallery Too
Nestled within Soo Visual Arts Center, Gallery Too exhibits curated shows running concurrently with SooVAC exhibitions and aims to introduce Minneapolis collectors to emerging and established artists from the world of design, graffiti and poster art.

General Submissions:
Soo Visual Arts Center invites artists creating challenging work in any medium to submit their work for possible exhibition. Artists in all media may apply. No submission fee. Please allow at least four to six months for review and return of slides.
For general submission of work, please send the following to SooVAC at 2640 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55408:
- 10 to 20 images (slides or CD) [please note: images must be jpeg & LESS than 1 MB per image on the CD]. Please Include a printed thumbnail page of at least 5 images.
- Image list [title, year, medium, and size]
- Resume
- Artist statement
- SASE or you will not receive a response letter. If you wish your work to be return please include a large enough envelope with sufficient postage, otherwise it will not be returned.

Hours & Location
Open Tues 10-6, Wed 10-6, Thurs 12-8, Fri 10-6, Sat 10-4 & Sun 10-4 or by appointment.
Saturday June 27th and 28th Soo Too will be open but the main gallery will be closed for a private event. Starting at Noon on Sat. and 2pm on Sunday.
On a Friday of an opening reception we will open at noon. Please check the exhibition schedule.
Hours may vary during openings and special events. During gallery installation only the shop is open.
