Born in Kyoto and based in Minnesota, Jocelyn Suzuka Figueroa is a hafū fiber artist and painter. She creates plush animal dolls and ghost scroll paintings. Her inherited artistic practice stems from the belief that foundational legacies of the past must be investigated before a home can be built for the present. She received her MFA from MCAD in 2021 and is currently immersed in a multi-year postpartum haze.
