Hakeem Martins is a Minneapolis-based photographer whose work centers Black experiences across the African diaspora. Through portraiture and documentary imagery, he explores themes of identity, cultural memory, and resilience, highlighting how an environment reflects deeper histories. His work positions Black life as both lived reality and cultural archive, focusing on the ways communities preserve, transform, and express identity across generations.
