Soo Visual Arts Center is pleased to present our second annual juried exhibition for Minnesota teen artists, SooFUZE. This exhibition will coincide with our 8th annual juried exhibition, Untitled 8; giving young Minnesota artists an opportunity to interact with artists at later stages in their career. Juror Mike Davis, co-owner of Burlesque of North America, a Northeast Minneapolis-based graphic arts and screen-printing studio, selected nine artists from an impressive selection of open submissions. Their work explores a wide variety of mediums, ranging from sculpture to intricate cut paper collage. These young artists delve into both personal and societal issues translating their ideas into universal experiences to be shared with the viewer.

“Soo Visual Arts Center is a FY2011 recipient of an Art Access grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is funded, in part, by the Minnesota arts and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the Legacy Amendment vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.”
