Class: Curating Outside the System

Sophia Abrams will be in conversation with Kehayr Brown-Ransaw on alternative curatorial methods. While traditional modes of curation are understood to be tied to museum and gallery spaces, this workshop focuses on the importance of reimagining and curating exhibitions in nontraditional spaces. Examples of topics explored in the workshop include: how to start curating, how to find grants, how to select artists, and how to find an exhibition space. This workshop is intended for beginning curators or people who are interested in curatorial work.
